Glenfield Pharmacy Clinic
Transitioning from an NHS-dominated web presence to showcasing private clinical services with automated triage.
What was happening?
Glenfield Pharmacy Clinic was expanding its commercial operations into private healthcare services, including travel vaccinations, health checks, and clinical consultations.
However, the existing website was heavily NHS-oriented, clunky to navigate, and did not reflect the clinic’s modern private capabilities. As a result, staff spent significant time answering repetitive routine questions over the phone and counter.
What was really getting in the way?
Before jumping into design or code, we analyzed the root constraints causing friction.
Private services buried
High-value private clinical services were hidden behind outdated NHS prescription text.
Repetitive telephone triage
Pharmacists were frequently interrupted to answer basic questions about travel vaccines, pricing, and availability.
Disconnected enquiry capture
Patient messages were arriving through informal channels with no central pipeline to manage clinical bookings.
What did we decide to change?
We decided to reposition the website around the clinic’s expanding private services, integrate an AI-assisted triage chat to answer routine patient queries 24/7, and route all clinical enquiries into a single CRM pipeline.
What we put in place
The practical components and workflows put in place to fix the bottlenecks.
FOR PATIENTS
- Clear presentation of private health and travel clinic services
- Instant answers to routine service questions via 24/7 AI chat
- Simple mobile booking and consultation request forms
- Transparent information on clinic services and preparation
FOR THE PHARMACY TEAM
- Centralized clinical enquiry management in CRM
- Routine questions triaged automatically without interrupting staff
- Structured lead data for vaccination and clinic appointments
- Fewer repetitive administrative phone calls
Routine triage happens automatically without distracting pharmacists from dispensing and patient care.
Healthcare without the waiting room.
Skip long GP queues for travel immunisations, blood tests, and minor illness treatments delivered by prescribing pharmacists.
What changed?
Verified operational and commercial improvements delivered by the project.
Private clinical services and travel health are prominently featured and easily found online.
Common patient questions regarding services and prerequisites are answered instantly around the clock.
Clinical enquiries land in a single structured CRM pipeline rather than fragmented phone notes.
The team relies less on manual phone triage, freeing clinical time for direct patient consultations.
The project gave the pharmacy clinic a modern digital foundation to grow its private healthcare revenue.
“This project was not about adding an AI chatbot as a gimmick. It was about creating an automated triage layer that gives patients fast, helpful answers while protecting the pharmacy team’s clinical focus.”
